Memory loss is often the first sign of Alzheimer's disease. Many older people worry when memory loss occurs. Other diseases with similar symptoms of Alzheimer's disease are:
- Other types of dementia, as dementia caused by multiple infarcts
- Dementia accompanied by malnutrition
- Thyroid diseases as hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism
- Depression
- Visual or auditory disturbances.
